Hvammur.

I´m so looking forward to the summer.

I´ll be staying in Seyðisfjörður, which is a town in the east of Iceland.

We have a little cottage there called Hvammur.

Seyðisfjörður´s population is about 700 people in winter, but when spring comes around the number goes up to 1000. A lot of them beeing artists that live there during the summer time

There are two great artist residencies there which I highly recommend to anybody.

Also there is a lovely festival there which is held once a year, it is called LUNGA.

Dorothy Iannone

One of my favorite artists at the moment is Dorothy Iannone, The Lioness.

She is best known for her egyptian inspired "lovemaking self portraits" where she portraits herself with her lover Dieter Roth.

Dorothy travelled to Iceland with her former husband and met Dieter at the harbor. She immidietly fell in love and left her husband a short while later to return to Iceland and stay with Dieter.

She now lives and workes in Berlin.

Flíkurnar sem fyrirsætur verkanna klæðast eru eftir íslensku fatahönnuðina Steinunni, Thelmu-design, Spakmannsspjarir, Kalda, ELM, Hildi Yeoman og Skaparann

Sýningin samanstendur af tískuteikningum, ljósmyndum og videoverki sem þær Hildur og Saga vinna í sameiningu undir áhrifum frá töfraheimi tískunnar.
